About me

Welcome! This is where I write about life, the messy, hilarious, heartbreaking, and unexpectedly beautiful parts of it.

I’m Cheryl, writer, content creator, single mum, and two years breast cancer-free. I’ve moved countries, moved house over 30 times (yes, I kept a ranked list of addresses inside an old suitcase from my mum), and moved through the wild rollercoaster of separation, grief, and starting over.

I’m raising two strong, independent girls, embracing all the quirks that made growing up confusing but now feel like my superpowers. I love love love exploring side hustles—so much so that I’ve probably started (and abandoned) more ventures than I can count. If unfinished Etsy shops and half-baked business ideas were a sport, I’d have Olympic gold. Probably ADHD, but honestly, who cares? I love my life and who I am.

I’ll write about grief—losing family, losing love, and losing the expectations of what life should have been. But I’ll also write about finding myself, about the incredible clarity that cancer gave me, and why I’m strangely thankful it visited. Perspective changes everything.

This blog is a space for honesty, curiosity, and figuring things out as we go… or as a friend told me, ‘We’ll build the plane while we’re flying”. So, grab a coffee (or a tea if you’re feeling non-committal), and let’s make sense of this wild ride together.
